Meet: Megan Callahan

Hey Megan, we are excited to have you at No Revisions - tell us a bit about yourself!
I'm a multi-hyphenate digital marketer with a strategic background - focused on affiliate and influencer partnerships. My marketing career has evolved from copywriting and branding (delving deep into who brands are at their core and clarifying their voice and messaging) to integrating that research into strategies that develop authentic community relationships and affiliate partnerships. My main marketing goal is simple: help people find their people.

How did you get here?
At the base of it all, I'm a storyteller. With a background in journalism and a love for research, my skillset lent itself perfectly to copywriting and branding strategy - I started my career freelancing and doing contract work.

While working in-house at Afloral, I evolved my skillset from brand strategy and copywriting into social media management and influencer partnerships. After a few years (with the luck of a stellar team), I grew Afloral's affiliate program into its highest revenue driver - partnering with brands like Goop and Elle Decor. Eventually, I led all brand production, partnerships, and marketing as the Brand Manager/Marketing Director. I've recently gone freelance and can't wait to help brands evolve their strategies and connect with like-minded communities.

What fuels your creativity?
Being outside in a flow state - whether surfing, hiking, or even driving through remote and beautiful parts of the world. I find an open horizon, movement, and something that requires enough attention to take your mind off work the best container for creativity and inspiration. Also - people. It's astounding how a random conversation with a stranger can change your mood, day, or life.

What is a project you really enjoyed and what made it so enjoyable?
I love working with media publishers to produce content that optimizes revenue and SEO - such as product roundups, evergreen articles, and seasonal searches with high return opportunities. Any partnership that can tap into several goals and has the potential for long-term return is a win!

What defines a good from a great client for you?
My favorite type of client has a firm handle on their data analytics and knows what they're solving for. Also - being open to new avenues and audiences is imperative to growth.

What defines a terrible client for you?
Closed minds and perspectives.

What makes you different from competitors/peers in your field?
Throughout the last several years, I've worn SO many hats, which allows me to understand a company's broader landscape and marketing initiatives. I can ideate, execute, and deliver results from front to back. I also don't believe in fluff; data and return are the only factors that keep a business on a sustainable growth track.

How would you describe your style?
Elevated, but accessible. I believe well designed and executed campaigns can uplevel any brand.

What trends are you seeing in your field right now (or to come)?
First-party data is currently one of the most critical factors in affiliate marketing. With the fall of cookies and a rapidly changing affiliate landscape, having proper data tracking and a tight attribution model will allow for more transparent reporting and tailored strategies.

Why do you like working with No Revisions?
The No Revisions model is perfect for startups, bootstrapping businesses, or businesses that value return and their time. When you partner with No Revisions, you get expertise without paying a hefty entrance fee.
