10 Tips to Increase TikTok Views
If you are utilizing TikTok for your business, you may find yourself in view jail - hitting that 200-300 view cap per video. There are many reasons this can happen, so let’s dive into what you can do to change that:
Consistency & Patience
Usually this is the first of brand’s downfall - impatient teams (mainly from people who don’t use TikTok themselves). It takes daily posting, testing, and maybe months of going going going to see success - of course you need to learn and optimize along the way but keep in mind you need to be consistent with anything before discounting the channel and account as something that will perform well for your brand.
Video Editing
This is an easy one - how are you editing? Are you editing in app or with a tool like CapCut? We have found when editing outside of TikTok (mainly adding music outside of the app) has note performed as well (and you aren’t getting that exposure from tagged music).
Uploading/Scheduling
Do NOT auto-schedule/upload your videos - manually post. Trust us.
Trends & Hashtags
Typically we have an individual conversations with brands regarding trends. Approaching trends should be delicate and make sense for the brand and typically not the full voice and approach for the account - you want to be able to have an account that can stand on its own, however when a trend makes sense for you, create and post ASAP to reap the benefits. Same with hashtags - they should definitely be bested across your posts but we suggest using 3 hashtags per post.
Social Listening/Engagement
Do NOT just post and leave the account. Spending time engagement with your audience that you do have and then spending time on social listening is key. Leaving meaningful comments on videos (comments can go just as viral as your videos), and don’t forget about testing out stitching and dusting videos as well.
Content Structure/Strategy
This is usually the first thing people assume is wrong - the content strategy. This could be the reason (or maybe not) but making subtle changes to our approach and then trying fully new ideas (and posting daily) can help accelerate your growth.
Content Creator
Are you working with the right people on the account? Is there a fee to your brand? Are they the best fit? This is something to highly consider and take seriously when it comes to the fate of your account.
TikTok SEO
You have read the headlines - TikTok is a search engine. You must treat your content (in video, captions, etc) as an SEO tool - utilizing keywords - what are your customers searching for? Continue to test and optimize your videos with this in mind.
Learning from Analytics
This is obvious, but learning from analytics - looking into video lengths, post times, hashtags, content types, topics, etc - analyze everything.
Showing up OUTSIDE of your account
This is not mandatory for success on TikTok, however TikTok is all about content showing up, no mater whose account it’s from. Working with UGC creators and influencers to post about your brand on a consistent basis will drive more people to your account.
