Meet: Meeta Panesar

What is your expertise in?
Graphic Design and Illustration

How did you get here? What steps did you take to end up here?
I have been in this industry for many years now. I have worked in-house, in agencies, and now full-time freelance, and have had many ups and downs along the way. Early on in my career, I discovered my love for illustration and pursued any opportunity to further this passion. As a freelancer, I have been able to work with various brands and clients to create unique and fun illustrations and icon sets.

What fuels your creativity?
I want to bring more color and joy to the world.

What is a project you really enjoyed and what made it so enjoyable?
I loved working with Headspace and illustrating for their blog, the Dot. They were an amazing client and such a joy to work with. I also enjoyed the challenge of illustrating difficult mental health topics in their friendly, approachable style.

What defines a good from a great client for you?
A great client trusts me in the design process. Bonus points if they have a great attitude and we can laugh and joke with each other :)

What defines a terrible client for you?
A terrible client is indecisive and unresponsive

What makes you different from competitors/peers in your field?
My efficiency (from years of experience!), my positivity and optimism, and the desire to always push myself to create high-quality work for my clients and their brands.

How would you describe your style?
My style is fun, geometric, colorful, and whimsical.

What trends are you seeing in your field right now (or to come)?
I don’t really follow trends! If it doesn’t make sense for the brand, why follow the trend?

Why do you like working with No Revisions?
I love the idea of creating work without unnecessary meetings and multiple revisions!
